Started in Sokolov, Grown Across Europe
cafebuilt was founded by Petr Smrcka in Sokolov, Czech Republic, with a clear purpose: to make exceptional cafe experiences accessible to every operator.
What began as a small construction consultancy advising hospitality businesses on interior fit-outs has grown into a full-spectrum partner for cafe entrepreneurs, hoteliers, and restaurant groups across Central Europe.
Over 15 years, we have completed more than 200 cafe projects — from intimate neighbourhood espresso bars to large-scale roastery showrooms — and have built a reputation for delivering on time, within budget, and above expectation.
Our expansion into equipment supply and coffee bean sourcing was a natural evolution: our clients needed a trusted partner they could rely on for everything, not just the bricks and mortar.

His dual background — engineering and specialty coffee — gives cafebuilt a unique perspective that blends structural expertise with genuine coffee culture knowledge. He remains closely involved in every project and sets the quality standard the entire team follows.
